To all interested in the Motaman Charity Golf
Tournament:
April seems a long time ago, now that Christmas is
nearly upon us, but we thought you would like to know that the Motaman
Charity Golf Tournament on 15th April 2011 raised £1,600 for
our nominated charities. Below are personal 'thank you's from SCaRF
and WaterAid to all the team members who so cheerfully gave their time,
effort and money.
"On behalf of the Trustees of SCaRF I would like
to thank you and your wonderful golfers for the magnificent cheque for £800
being money raised for our research fund at the recent Motaman Charity Golf
Tournament.
We realise that these are very difficult
financial times and very much appreciate your support for this charity. You did
exceedingly well to raise a similar amount to last year, thank you for including
SCaRF in your fund-raising activities." Caroline Newton,
SCaRF
"Our enormous thanks for taking part in the
Motaman Charity Golf Day in April, we really hope you enjoyed the day. Across 26
countries in Africa, Asia and the Pacific region WaterAid is working with some
of the world’s poorest communities by improving access to safe water, hygiene
and sanitation. Your kind donations will allow us to continue to transform lives
in this way, helping people leave poverty behind for good. Again, thank you so
much for your support." Rosie Morris, WaterAid
We
would also like to take this opportunity to say that, in view of the difficult
times we are all experiencing, we have decided to take a break from the
tournament for 2012, but hope to reconvene the following year. If you would
like to make a small donation to SCaRF or WaterAid anyway, please
feel free to send a cheque to the 'Motaman Charity Golf Account' and we
will ensure that it is passed on to them. Alternatively, you can visit their
websites and donate directly. We hope you will not be too disappointed, and
trust that your golfing appetites will be all the more sharpened by the pause in
proceedings.
Once again, please accept our sincere thanks for all
your support and generosity and our best wishes for a lovely Christmas and
prosperous new year.
Kind regards,
Yousouf & Glyn
